Overall Score: Click here to find out more about this rating scale...
Scare Factor: Medium    Atmosphere: Good
Visibility / Location: GPS took us right there. There was also a brightly lit sign at the entrance, so it was obvious where we needed to turn in.
Wait Entertainment: There were various actors on the grounds, roaming around and interacting with customers. There was a concession stand, fire pits, photo ops, a zombie chamber and even a coffin ride that simulated a person being buried.
Length of Event: The hayride was at least twenty minutes and the bayou haunted walk was 10 to 15 minutes.
Actor Performance: They did a good job in general. Everyone stayed in character and followed through with their roles.
Patron Flow Inside Attraction: They were pretty organized, so this was not a problem. We didn't run into other groups.
Summary: This event was split into to haunted attractions: Hayride of Horror and Curse of the Bayou.
Hayride of Horror involved a slow ride in a circular path of a large clearing. While playing appropriate theme music, the hay rack would travel past various scenes, many with ramshackle structures that served as hiding places for actors. The scenes ranged from clowns, zombies and about everything in-between. The Curse of the Bayou was a haunted trail with various surprises along the way. The wooded area and darkness gave actors plenty of opportunities to lurk in wait. In the middle was a maze of sorts, which was fun.
My group had a good time at the event. it was definitely a lot of fun. I enjoyed the overall "carnival" type atmosphere and the fact that there was more to do than just go through the two haunts. The photo ops, roaming actors, concessions and fire pits were nice touches, too. Highly recommended for a night out of family fun!
