Visibility / Location:
The attraction states on their Facebook page that they are located in South Pekin across the street from the fire station. If you are using GPS, I would highly recommend using the fire station's address (209 West Main Street in South Pekin). Google maps and GPS sent us to Manito, Illinois, which is about 11 miles away.
Once we found the haunted house, we saw signs at a nearby intersection and signs in front of the building. Their parking lot is on the West side of the building, and there were enough spots for everyone when we visited. It might fill up more as Halloween gets closer.
As we approached the building, there was a voodoo priest character waiting on Main Street for us. He eerily and quietly watched us approach the building and welcomed us inside.

Since people move through haunted attractions at different rates, your time will vary. Note: The time shown here represents the actual time spent moving forward through the attraction. Time spent waiting in queue lines, staging areas, intro scenes, rules rooms and when traffic jams cause patrons to come to a halt, has been subtracted.
LPR Score = 2.861
LPR stands for Length/Price Ratio. It represents perceived value of an event, by comparing length vs price of admission. Higher numbers represent more value per dollar. We arrived at just the perfect time because we were the only guests there, so our group did not catch up to anyone and no groups caught up to us. As soon as we got back outside, cars started filling the parking lot.
We were granted entry into the door of the attraction and we found an outdoor shack façade that was very detailed and convincing. We walked through the front door and found a living room with even more details and a creepy faceless demon-esque character that crawled around and watched us. We were quickly startled by a shrieking actress, who got us both to jump a bit. We found a very well executed green laser swamp fog maze, and the characters were hidden strategically in plain sight. They got us a couple times in this room, too. This space was filled with foliage that obstructed the path and the sound of crickets could be heard, which helped set the ambiance.
A menacing pig character followed us with a shovel, which made a threatening sound. We struggled to find the way to go for a few seconds, and then we found a witchy storefront with a convincing display case and items for sale. The ladies in this scene had awesome costumes and I honestly wanted to stay and shop. We passed underneath a catacombs archway and through a similar hallway, and then through a mannequin room filled with creepy rabbit characters before we found the exit.
Main Street Manor is a newer attraction located in a small building, but the amount that they have done with the space is very impressive. The sets are very convincing and lit with just the right amount of ambient colored lighting. The costumes were all appropriate for the scenes and the make up was done well. There were appropriate sound effects throughout and the flow of the house made sense. We were startled a few times; especially in the swamp area. I am excited to see this show grow in the years to come because it seems they are off to a great start!
