Visibility / Location:
The haunt is located on a corner lot and there are large signs on both sides of the corner, as well as a banner on the opposite side of the building, so it is relatively easy to spot. Also, the ticket sales are usually outside of the front doors, so there are people at tables and usually a popcorn machine or other snack sales going on.
There is usually not a lot in terms of wait entertainment other than one or two actors in masks and costumes walking around. This varies by night and also by year. This year there were two hooded figures walking around together, slowly moving towards people coming from the parking lot or people coming from up the street.
Also, there are snacks for sale for people waiting in line, including candy, chips, popcorn and soda and water.

Since people move through haunted attractions at different rates, your time will vary. Note: The time shown here represents the actual time spent moving forward through the attraction. Time spent waiting in queue lines, staging areas, intro scenes, rules rooms and when traffic jams cause patrons to come to a halt, has been subtracted.
LPR Score = 2.962
LPR stands for Length/Price Ratio. It represents perceived value of an event, by comparing length vs price of admission. Higher numbers represent more value per dollar. Actual quality and/or entertainment value of an event are not factors in this calculation. Click Here to see how this event compares to others visited this year by the staff of HauntedIllinois.com.
Medium - the haunt is staffed by younger kids, mostly under 14 at a guess, although there are some high school students as well. Thus, depending on your age, the intimidation factor may or may not be high. Despite this, however, many of the actors do a good job as sneaking up on visitors and scaring them, or at just being creepy and following visitors from room to room. They will also interact with visitors and respond to comments, often in funny ways, so they are entertaining.
Crowd control is decent unless the lines get long, which they have a tendency to do. Visitors rarely run into groups in front of them or behind them unless the groups tend to cause their own backups. Also, there are actors and sometimes other workers inside to move people along. If there is a big line, though, the time between groups can be long, and visitors can sometimes wait a couple hours or more.
Hair Razor has always been a quality haunt in that is tries to be creative with set design and always manages to come up with a wide variety of rooms for visitors to walk through. There is no one theme to this haunt. Rather, as the name suggests, it is a collection of haunted scenes put together randomly. The scenes vary from swamps to jungles, to a butcher shop, a living room, a hotel with front desk, elevator, and various suites, and a full blown outdoor accident scene, plus much more.
Actors tend to jump out and try to scare for the most part, although some will turn and follow visitors once they pass by. Costuming is basic, ranging from masks and simple themed costumes (clowns, hospital staff, etc.) to various basic makeup effects. However, for this type of haunt elaborate makeup and costuming is not necessary, as the charm lies in the variety of scenes and the sometimes clever surprises that await visitors.
For the price, Hair Razor is a decent value, although the $18 for the fast pass may be a bit much. However, it is highly recommended to get the fast pass unless you go on an off night or get there early. As there are several haunts in the same area, including two others that offer a three-haunt combined fast pass for $36, going for something like that will save you time and give you more bang for your buck.
If you're looking for something a little fun and different and something that people of all ages will enjoy, Hair Razor is a good choice.
