Factory Of Fear Presents Their 2021 Valentine's Day Attraction: Love Is Blind
In mid-February, the staff of HauntedIllinois.com attended "Love Is Blind", a Valentine's Day themed haunted attraction presented by the
Factory of Fear in Moline, IL. The Factory of Fear regularly hosts special events like this throughout the year and we were really looking forward to seeing this one.
The building was easy enough to find. While driving along 4th Avenue, it was hard to miss the red/pink glow emanating from the large bank of windows on the front of the building. Upon entering, I saw their large indoor waiting area was decked out with hearts, mutilated teddy bears, strings of red lights and Valentine's Day inflatables. The inside of the attraction was also accented with various colored lights and props to fit in with the Valentine's Day theme.
Despite the frigid conditions, hundreds of customers braved below zero temperatures to attend this special event. For the safety of their customers and employees, the Factory of Fear was enforcing a comprehensive COVID-19 safety protocol. Not only were all customers required to wear masks, but all of the actors and other staff members were, too. In the queue line area, there were multiple safety protocol messages displayed on a large monitor, reminding customers of proper mask wearing and social distancing practices.
While walking through, I was lucky enough to get a preview of the new second floor portion of the attraction. The Factory of Fear also has plans to expand the attraction even more, adding another 5,000 square feet before October of this year.
Special thanks to Brett DeLeo and Lexie Wilson for their hospitality and for providing behind-the-scenes access, so I could capture all of these great images. I had a great time while I was there and can't wait to see other events they host in the future. We hope you enjoy the picture gallery below.
