The Halloween pop-up event that everyone is talking about.
Do you love the Halloween season, but think that haunted houses are too scary? Well, "The Gallery Presents: The Haunting" in Vernon Hills, IL might be the Halloween event for you. This is not a haunted house. There are no actors... no scares.... Just spooky Halloween atmosphere.
"The Haunting" is a Halloween themed art installation that allows you to immerse yourself in the Halloween spirit. Imagine numerous haunted house scenes set up specifically as photo ops. The rules of haunted houses don't apply here, though. You may touch the props, sit in the scenes and take as many pictures as you would like! What makes it even better is, for the price of admission, there is no time limit. You can stay there as long as you want!
The highly detailed scenes make "The Haunting" a photographer's dream! Various scenes include the alphabet wall from "Stranger Things", barricaded doors from "The Walking Dead", a creepy cemetery, a morgue, an elaborate clown wall and more. There is even a spinning vortex tunnel to walk through! Come as you are or get into your favorite costume and do a spooky photo shoot!
Into posting selfies on your favorite social media site? This event was constructed with that activity in mind. In many of the scenes, there is strategically placed seating, allowing you to become part of the action and pose with the props, to get the perfect selfie.
