Over the past several years, MHC has become famous for their costume party. This year, the Masters of Ceremony
were John LaFlamboy & Tiela Halpin of
Zombie Army Productions
For the $50 admission fee, attendees enjoyed Hors d'oeuvres (or a lack thereof), a DJ & dance floor, a body painting showcase and a costume contest with prizes.
The party itself was fun; however, there were some issues reported. As alluded to before, the food that was supposed to be there was a bit lacking,
to say the least. Every time we checked the buffet tables, they were empty (see pictures in gallery). In fact, we arrived shortly after the party
started and stayed until the end, but never got a bite to eat. Also, the cash bar was clearly understaffed.
On a positive note, the DJ kept everyone entertained, with a spectacular light show and the latest dance hits. Also, as usual,
attendees came with some fantastic costumes. The costume contest, which is covered on the next page of this review, also added to the
fun vibe of the party. It was really enjoyable to hang out with haunter friends, but all things considered, the admission was a bit steep.
Hopefully they will work the bugs out next year.
