HauntedIllinois.com's Review of "Jack's Pumpkin Glow Chicago"
This season, the staff of Haunted Illinois visited Jack's Pumpkin Glow Chicago, in Lisle, IL.
For weeks, we have been seeing advertisements pop up for this event on social media, so we decided to pay
them a visit to see what it was all about.
Jack's Pumpkin Glow isn't a scary event like a haunted house. It is a family-friendly trail containing more
than 5,000 pumpkins, each one skillfully carved by a member of the Pumpkin Glow team.
Some of the individual pumpkins were carved to resemble superheroes, celebrities, animals, insects, flowers,
plant life and other things. In many areas, pumpkins were grouped together to form larger objects like motorcycles,
dinosaurs, sharks, dragons and more.
Our two favorite scenes were the winter wonderland and the pirate ship featuring a plethora of pumpkins, which
were carved to look like deep sea creatures. There were even a couple of cemetery scenes to satisfy haunted house fans.
The display, with its colorful accent lighting to compliment the illuminated pumpkins, was visually stunning and
definitely worth a look. If you are a Halloween fan, this would definitely be right up your alley!
Please note that there is a lot of walking involved (the trail is 1/3 mile long) and the venue is outdoors,
so when you visit be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the Fall weather.
