Visibility / Location:
I was glad to see they took my last review's advice and put up a sign at on the corner of Wabash and Swan pointing to where the haunt was, however it was almost too dark to see it, my headlights hit it at the last minute and we had to slam on the breaks. Google Maps does lead you right to the location. There was plenty of parking across the street. The Raven's Curse ambulance with it's flashing lights and digital effects was parked outside.
When we arrived there wasn't really any wait entertainment. On the back side of the haunt, they do have Terror on the Big Screen where they play horror movies around a campfire, but it's not visible while you wait. I remember last year they had someone in a straight jacket walking around, but there was nothing this year. There were a few groups in line ahead of us, but our wait didn't seem to be very long.
LPR Score = 2.475
LPR stands for Length/Price Ratio. It represents perceived value of an event, by comparing length vs price of admission. Higher numbers represent more value per dollar. I was disappointed in the flow of groups going through. We ended up catching up to the group in front of us. We waited a couple minutes to let them get further ahead, so their scares didn't ruin it for us. Not long after we took off, the group behind us caught up to us and ended up finishing the haunt with us. They definitely need to space the groups out further, there is so much to look at inside that they need to account for people watching the digital effects while going through.
I must say even with the groups running into each other, this was better than last year. They really upgraded their animatronics and digital effects. They had more gruesome digital murder scenes with more mist sprays than last year and it really added to the scare factor. The mix of human actors and animatronics were a perfect blend. The facility was even larger this year. Once you walk in, there are four cloaked creatures telling the story of the Raven's Curse. Pay close attention to all the digital scenes. Some of the scenes that had mists or sprays seemed to go off too soon and we would have to watch them go again so we didn't miss it. While watching the scenes, don't forget to keep one eye looking behind you! They had a very cool insane asylum with crazy people banging on the windows to get out and screaming. I was really pleased to see they added more actors to even the balance of human/digital scares. There is so much to see inside Raven's Curse that a second visit would probably need to happen. They definitely had non-stop action! They have a gift shop outside as well and they added a Slaughter House Funhouse along with their Escape room. They made great improvements from last year that are well worth checking out!
